Meet the Doctor
Dr. Wei
Dr. Wei grew up in the Bay Area and his family eventually settled down near Sacramento. He attended The University of the Pacific for both his undergraduate studies and dental education where he received his degree in Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). Longing for a different experience, he joined the US Navy where he was commissioned as a lieutenant in the Dental Corps. He served for 3 years at the Twentynine Palms Marine Corps Air Combat Ground Center. He developed an interest in Endodontics after experiencing firsthand the high rate of dental emergencies among military personnel. After being honorably discharged, he continued his dental education at the University of Minnesota where he earned a Certificate in Endodontics. He is board certified by the American Board of Endodontics.
Dr. Wei strives to deliver the best care to his patients and also treat them with a humanistic approach. The most rewarding part of his job is helping patients achieve relief from dental pain and alleviate their fear about dentistry. Growing up with dentophobia, he realizes that this can prevent many people from getting the dental care that they need and would like to change how root canal treatment is perceived. In his spare time, Dr. Wei enjoys hiking, fishing, traveling, and spending time with his wife and son.
